Some users have suggested that if we integrated a photo editor into the app and the web dashboard, they\'d be able to make any changes they need to the floorplan before exporting, saving them time. This is something we\'re looking into.
Currently the floorplan can be too large for the screen and sometimes cut off depending on the size of the property. We\'re currently working on scaling to fix that.
People have been requesting floorplans that are accurate, we have got it to 98% accuracy against a traditional LiDar gun.
We\'ve had requests for it to be able to scan and create an asset list. So far we\'ve integrated 26 standard fixtures and fittings (Sofas, TV\'s, tables, etc) and it generates a downloadable asset list of them. Long term we\'ll look to improve this even further (no more counting spoons!)
Users have been requesting a 3D model at the same time as their floorplans. This is now added, with the ability to hide or display internal furniture, and export in AutoCAD supported formats. We\'ll look to improve this further down the line.
Some users have noted that not all walls in floorplans appear perfectly straight. We spent a large amount of time researching this and realised it came down to one of two things. A. The property being captured just a little too quickly, skewing perspective B. The walls often aren\'t 100% straight to begin with, and the accuracy of our floorplans wasn\'t compensating for that to make it marketing friendly. We\'re currently working on making the floorplan self correct, so that walls that are essentially straight are drawn as exactly straight on the floorplan.
Users in appraisal, valuation, surveying and retrofitting have been asking for the app to capture exact measurements of doors and windows. This is in progress and we expect to be live in the app soon.
Some users have been asking if it\'d be possible to add support for non-lidar iPhones and Android devices. Early research has made it clear that it is completely impossible for everything to be recreated (instant turnaround times, 98% accuracy, asset lists with accurate dimensions, door and window measurements, etc) but we may be able to provide a cut-down version of the app that does similar things (95% accuracy, 6 hour turnaround times, etc). This would be an extremely large undertaking, so we\'d need to see overwhelming support for it to make it a priority.
We\'re working on a full featured web dashboard with instant syncing, so that a member of your team can scan a property and the office has instant access to view, edit and distribute it.
Some users have requested that we add virtual tours to our assets, so that a virtual tour is captured in the same scan. This is planned for the next major update and being researched.
US based users have requested our floorplans are made ANSI standard compliant. This is planned as a soon-as-possible update.
Some users have measured that for these floorplans to serve as marketing floorplans, they\'d need to be able to have colour to match rooms. We\'ve looked into this and it\'s possible. It\'s on the to-do list.
Some users have mentioned that if they had the ability to adjust the thickness of the walls (potentially a slider or an input before they start scanning a property) that they\'d have more use cases for the app. This is planned.
